Event House Rules

These house rules apply to all events hosted on the Vybe platform. Individual venues may have additional rules communicated on their event listing. By purchasing a ticket and attending an event, you agree to comply with these rules and any venue-specific rules.

ENTRY & TICKETS
- Valid QR code ticket required for entry
- No gate sales โ pre-purchase only
- Ticket valid for specific event and date only
- ID may be required at the gate
- Right of admission reserved by venue

AGE RESTRICTIONS
- Events with alcohol: 18+ only
- Valid SA ID, passport or driver's licence required
- Under-18 events clearly marked on listing
- Minors must be accompanied by a legal guardian

ALCOHOL POLICY
- Only alcohol purchased on-site is permitted
- No outside alcohol or glass containers
- Venue reserves right to search bags and containers
- Intoxicated persons will be refused entry or removed
- Liquor Act No. 59 of 2003 applies at all times

PROHIBITED ITEMS
- Weapons, firearms, or dangerous objects
- Illegal substances
- Outside alcohol or glass containers
- Professional cameras or drones without permission
- Large sound systems or Bluetooth speakers

CONDUCT
- Respectful behaviour toward staff and guests required
- Aggressive, rude, or unsafe behaviour โ removal without refund
- Comply with all staff and security instructions
- No fighting, harassment, or threatening behaviour

PHOTOGRAPHY & MEDIA
- Personal photography permitted
- Commercial photography requires prior written permission
- Venue may use event footage for promotional purposes
- Submit written opt-out request to venue management

PARKING & VEHICLES
- Vehicles parked at owner's own risk
- Venue not liable for loss or damage to vehicles
- Illegally parked vehicles may be towed
- No alcohol consumption in parking areas (Liquor Act)

CCTV & POPIA
- CCTV surveillance operates at all venues
- Footage processed under POPIA No. 4 of 2013
- Data retained for security and dispute resolution
- Ticket scan logs retained for 12 months
Liability & Safety
Attendance at events is at the visitor's own risk. Cloudrift Technologies and venue partners are not liable for injury, death, illness, loss, theft, or damage except to the extent caused by proven gross negligence as defined by South African law.
- Personal belongings are the visitor's responsibility at all times
- Medical emergencies must be reported immediately to venue staff
- Intoxicated persons may not participate in any activities and may be removed
- Children must be under direct adult supervision at all times
Load Shedding & Operational Changes
South African load shedding, weather conditions, or operational interruptions during an event do not qualify for refunds unless the event is formally cancelled. See our Refund Policy for full details.
Removal & Right of Admission
โ ๏ธ Right of admission is reserved. Venues may refuse entry or remove any visitor for non-compliance with these rules, intoxication, unsafe conduct, or any safety concern โ without refund. The decision of venue management on duty is final, subject to applicable law.
Venue-Specific Rules
Individual venues may set additional rules communicated on their Vybe event listing โ including dress code, age restrictions, capacity limits, and prohibited items specific to their premises. These rules are binding in addition to the standard house rules above.
